Back to school

Well I've made it back to State College and have settled into my room at White Course. Dad and I hauled most of my things to UP on Saturday. It was a nice day for a drive and we even made it to the Waffle Shop before they closed up for a quick bite to eat. On our way back after eating, I noticed something that is so great about college students and when the crowd moves in for the year, the cliche "out with the old and in with the new" can take on many different meanings.

I noticed one of the guys in a group of people walking along the sidewalk stop and pick something up. Move in day often litters the curbside with couches, carpet, broken chairs, and other wasted college furniture. Well, as we got closer I saw this resourceful young man had found a metal spatula on the side of the road. He seemed really happy with it, and proceeded to show it to his buddies. I suppose it was worth keeping (in his eyes) because they continued on their merry way, with the spatula in hand. Needless to say, a good time was had by all. They got a free spatula and I got a good laugh.

How I missed college life!

I'm bad at this

Yes.... I know.... I have not been working very hard to keep my blog up to date. I will try, try, try to do better I promise.

Well, things are coming to a close here unfortunately. It has been such a great experience and I have learned a ton. It is hard to think about leaving, but it must be done. What happened to the summer?????

So, I will give a presentation on my project over these last ten weeks on Friday. It should be fun. Even though the study I was working on did not get completed due to a few experimental challenges, I would still consider this a total success. The work that I have done may be continued by a post-doc or, even better, I may be free next summer *wink*wink* so who knows. I have learned so much about medical physics and radiation therapy, I will have a great advantage going into grad school. This was such a wonderful opportunity. I am so glad that I was able to do it.

Next update coming soon. Promise.
